You can easily find this on google or any tumblr site, but feel free to ask again if you need help. Last but not least, you need the Resource.cfg file in your Mods folder to make every mod work in your sims3 game. Try to restore your resources.cfg or edit it manually. So if one doesn't work probably none work. And there is no technical difference between the various default replacement skins. There is no reason, why they should become incompatible, the skins remained the same. Both of these folders could be found in 'My Documents'. Every default replacement skin works with WA. simpacks should go into the 'Download' folder, and package files should go inside the 'Mods' folder. However, the dashboard mod only identifies package files so be aware of that. Send your Sim to a dresser and chose 'plan outfit', again make a small change to each and every outfit associated with your Sim and save (click on the check mark). Make a minor change and save (click on the check mark). This problem only applies to female Sims, by the way. Start the Sims 3, choose your Sim in play mode and send him/her to a mirror and chose 'change appearance'. The custom contents come in simpacks or package files. The Sims look fine in CAS but not in live mode. Some custom contents might crash the game or lag it to oblivion, therefore this mod is very useful. You can download it in 'modthesims' site, and the beauty of this mod is that it tells you which custom content has gone corrupt, which mods clash with each other, etc. Also, if you download custom content, I'd strongly recommend you one of the sims3 mods that is called 'dashboard'.
